Again, no part of the design process with a client is really new to me, so I am following the protocols of established best practices within the context of our course project. This includes the initial contact and client engagement procedures, the language and communication modes that most effectively and efficiently convey and reiterate the designer's inferences and interpretation of the client's needs, and then documenting those needs succinctly and clearly, using this document (creative brief) to confirm the expectations of the client. This is also critical when considering the time required to meet the client's expectations and setting the timeline for the project. These are standard practices for graphic designers and other communication professionals.
