Since everything we've read/viewed so far in our IDT graduate program is so relevant to my research area of interest, I've decided that instead of just making notes in a Word document or only taking notes in a notebook I'll never look at again, I would create a blog space to curate what I am learning in a way that makes it easier for me to track and access it when I need to write about any of it later.... a diary of learning. I used this method in several other classes and research projects, most especially my honors thesis, and I found it very useful. My long-term goal is to continue on to a post-graduate program in which this digital record will also be a valuable reference for material and blocks of my own writing from which I can cultivate new work and ideas.

Those (one) of you who have or might read my thesis on math education may recognize that our IDT program is a powder keg of relevant information for me. Writing also helps me to synthesize and internalize what I am learning, as I am encountering the very principles and concepts from my research at work in our course material. There is also ample room for me to recognize gaps where more research is needed as this is where I find most of my work is situated.

This digital notebook will be a valuable and shareable repository for my journey through our program, and a space to revisit my thinking as it evolves on these topics.
