If we consider the role of instructor as the conveyor of a message, it could be said he or she uses a number of resources in the process of teaching to transmit message to the receiver (student) effectively. Ideally, the success of this process should be evident by evaluating the student's ability to reiterate the message clearly.  Students are generally motivated by the desire for a favorable grade in this process. What motivates the instructor?
